To assist dealers in complying with the USA-PATRIOT Act (HR 3612), the software has incorporated the U.S. Treasury Department's Specially Designated Nationals (or SDN) List, also known as the Terrorist Watch List. Customer information entered into the software can be checked against a the latest version of the SDN List downloaded into the software.
To check a potential customer's information against the SDN List, you must first have downloaded a copy of the current SDN List database from Friday Systems, Inc.'s online library. Then, simply enter the customer's information into the software under the Customer entry screen. After the customer's information has been entered, click the SDN Check button located just above the name entry boxes.

If the software finds a possible match in the SDN List, a window will appear to let you know that this customer appears on the SDN List. The window will display the customer's name as well as possible aliases and other addresses. You then have the option to print this information or simply exit the window.

Note: A possible match of a customer's name to a listing on the SDN List does not automatically mean that this customer is the individual actually listed on the government's SDN List. For example, this customer may just be unfortunate enough to have the same last name as a person listed on the SDN List. It is still up to you, the dealer, to take extra steps to ensure this customer is not the acutal person listed on the SDN List. If you have any doubt, you should contact your local government agency.
