Step 7: Finishing the Deal: The Wrap Up Window

The Wrap Up tab contains information on the closing of the deal as well as the cost, profit, and summary information.

When you have completed the Wrap Up section, click the Finished button with the red check mark. This will automatically save your deal into the software's memory, mark the vehicle being dealt as "sold," and transfer trade vehicles into your inventory list.

When adding trade vehicles to your inventory, the software collects only preliminary information such as make, model, year, etc. You will need to go back into your inventory at a later time to update the exact details of the trade vehicle such as the various vehicle options like power windows or air conditioning.

Once a vehicle is marked as being sold, the vehicle will no longer be displayed in active inventory. However, you may still access this vehicle at any time using the filters or load menus in the main inventory list under the Inventory List tab at the right-hand side of the screen.

Click the Vehicle Details button to see a more detailed description of the vehicle. This will take you out of the Deal Processing tab on the right-hand side of the screen and open the Inventory Detail tab. The vehicle being sold will appear in this screen with its information displayed. To return to the Deal Processing tab, simply click on the Deal Processing tab on the right-hand side of the screen.

If you are calculating your floor plan costs, you will be able to view the estimated floor plan costs for this vehicle in this window.

Dealers using the Buy Here/Pay Here option will be able to view more pertinent information on the right-hand side of the window. If you are using the Buy-Here/Pay-Here option to finance a deal, you will be able to view the amount of money collected to-date on this deal and view the difference between those payments collected and the vehicle costs. You will also be able to enter your dealer purchase rate or default override amount into the Dealer Rate and Override boxes repectively.

If you are also paying a commission to your sales staff, you will be able to view the amount of that commission. You can also select the type of commission you wish to pay your staff by selecting it from the pull-down menu by clicking on the down arrow in the text box of the Commissions on Sale section. Select from None, Profit on Sale, or Gross Profit.
