Setting up the OkidataTM 320/321 Turbo

Many of the forms you print, including some state-required forms, make carbon-copies when filled out. To make the carbon-copy in a printer, the printer must physically strike the paper form in some manner and leave an impression when printing. Ink-jet and laser printers do not do this. Therefore, you will need a dot-matrix or other style impact printer to print your forms.

Friday Systems specifically recommends and supports the OkidataTM 320 and 321 series of dot-matrix printers for printing forms. You may use other impact printers if you wish; however, Friday Systems only supports the OkidataTM 320 and 321. You may find some prices for these printers online at the following sites, but please feel free to shop around for the best prices:

For the OkidataTM 320 Turbo (Narrow 8.5" Carriage [8" print path]):

For the Okidata 321TM Turbo (Wide 16.5" Carriage):

In order to properly print your forms, you will first need to ensure your printer has the correct settings.

Second, you will need to ensure your form is properly aligned in the printer.
