Options Menu

Clicking on Options in the menu bar causes the Options pull-down menu to appear.

Generate Stock Number -- Lets the software automatically put a stock number on each new vehicle entered into your inventory. The next stock number to be applied to a vehicle can be found in the Dealer Information window.

Auto Update Inventory List -- Automatically refreshes your inventory listing shown in the data listing grid under the Inventory List tab. If you have an older computer or one which runs at a much slower speed, uncheck this option reduce the workload on your computer's processor. You will then have to use the Refresh List button when viewing your inventory listing to be sure you are looking at the latest data in your system.

Learn New VINs -- Allows the software to learn the pattern of VIN's for the vehicles you are entering into your inventory. Using this information, the program can decode the VIN and self-enter some of the vehicle's information for you such as the year, make, or model. Note: this feature is only available if your software does not currently have an automatic VIN decoder. If you do not see this option, your software will already be enabled to decode VIN's and need not go through a "learning process."
