Obtaining a Credit Report on a
Customer
To obtain a credit report on a
customer, you must first open the Credit Bureau window. To
open this window, click the Credit Bureau button on the
left-hand side of the screen.

If you have already entered the customer information into the
Customer Information
tab, the window will be pre-filled with the customer data. If
you have not entered any customer data, you will have to enter it
here to obtain a credit report.

There are three checkboxes which correspond to the three main
credit reporting agencies. Check the box for each agency from which
you wish to obtain a report. Note: CBCInnovis will
grant you access to each of the three main agencies depending on
the package you have purchased from CBCInnovis. Please contact your
Friday Systems, Inc. representative for more information.
The abbreviations for the three main credit reporting agencies
are:
- TRW -- Experian
- CBI -- Equifax
- Trans-Union -- Trans Union
After entering the customer information, you will be ready to
obtain a credit report on the customer. Click the Retrieve
button, and the software will connect via the Internet to
CBCInnovis' servers. The login information you provided in the
default section of the window will be supplied to the website to
allow you to log in. Otherwise, you will be prompted to log in to
CBCInnovis' servers at this time. The software will then
automatically get a credit report for the customer, display the
report, and then save it to the database and display it under the
Past Report History tab.
Setting Bureau and Login
Defaults
You may wish to set some default values for this screen which
will appear every time you start this window. You can set these
defaults by clicking on Defaults in the menu bar of the
window.
You may set the credit bureaus from which you wish to receive
credit reports, and these settings will be reflected in the
checkboxes below the customer information each time you access this
screen.
You may also want to set the default login information provided
to you by CBCInnovis so that you are not prompted to log in to
CBCInnovis' servers each time you try to run a credit report.
