Installing The
Software
When you install the program for the
first time, the installation will create a new database in the
folder you specify during the install. This folder will initially
contain sample data, and the program will be in a demonstration
mode. You may add to and delete from the sample data as much as you
like.
The software works on a shared-database model, i.e. there is
only ever one database holding all of your deal and inventory
information. That database can then be shared and accessed by other
installations of this program. The other installations will link
into the main database to access data.

As mentioned above, there are two main types of installation
setup:
- initial installation
which creates the database and acts as the "main" computer and
holds the actual database
- workstation
installation which links to the "main" computer and accesses
the database
