Clicking on Format in the menu bar causes the Format drop-down menu to appear.

The format menu allows you to hide or show the columns and/or rows in the Deal History data grid. Hiding rows or columns does not eliminate them from the software entirely -- it just makes them invisible. The rows or columns as well as the data they contain still exist in the software's memory.
To hide a column or row, first click on a data cell in the data grid listing your deals. This data cell is in a specific row and in a specific column. Next, click Format in the menu bar and use the mouse pointer to hover over and point to either Columns or Rows, depending on which you want to hide. Another menu will cascade to the side, asking if you want to hide or show the row or column. Choose to hide the column or row, and that column or row will disappear from the data grid listing.
If you want to show columns or rows you have made invisible, click Format in the menu bar and use the mouse pointer to hover over and point to either Columns or Rows, depending on which you want to show. Another menu will cascade to the side, asking if you want to hide or show all rows or columns. Choose to show them, and the rows or columns will re-appear in the data grid listing.
