Items such as make, model, style, number of cylinders, transmission, and basic standard equipment will automatically be filled in after you enter a VIN. The Make, Model, Purchase Date, Stock Number, and VIN are required fields. If any of these are missing, the vehicle will not be added to the inventory. You may get an error message or a reminder box.
If the information for a particular non-mandatory field (i.e. a field not listed above) is unavailable or unnecessary, simply leave that field blank.
You may override the information Lot Wizard prefills from the vehicle's VIN. After the year is entered, you can advance to the next field which uses a pull-down menu. Choose from "New", "Used", "Transit", or "Wholesale". Note: if "New" is selected, additional descriptive fields pertaining only to new vehicles will appear under the Other Information tab.

Next, you can enter the make of the vehicle. When you begin to type in the make of the vehicle into the Make field, Lot Wizard will automatically pull up the most likely match to the one you are typing. When you see the correct make appear in the field, stop typing and press the enter key to advance to the next field. Also, clicking on the down arrow of the Make field will present a list of possible vehicle makes.

The Model field works the same way as the Make field. Click on the model from the list of available models, and the selected model will be inserted into the Model field.
